Reinvest in Virginia’s Education Workforce
A Modern Way Of Learning
The “Five C’s” are foundational principles developed by the Virginia Department of Education that help students meet the demands and expectations of modern society. These principles inform the Profile of a Virginia Graduate and set new expectations for student instruction. The Five C’s include critical thinking, creative thinking, communication, collaboration, and citizenship skills. Through application of these concepts across academic disciplines, students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed post-graduation.
